Let's Talk Tech

I bought my first computer in 1985 and started using it to create Rate Sheets when I was a Mortgage Officer. (Finance and publishing were early adopters of tech.) I used business software extensively during my career to compute everything from amortization schedules to retirement plans, to analyze and chart data, for budgeting and bookkeeping, database transfers and upkeep, file organization and storage, writing correspondence, reports and presentations. 

After 25 years in the financial industry, I turned my attention to web design and computer graphics, completing many courses at Westchester CC, and my BA at CW Post-Long Island University, before becoming a technology teacher in 2003.  I earned an MS Degree from NYIT in Instructional Technology in 2009 and mastered course management, interactive learning, collaboration and sharing platforms in the process. I taught technology in NYC and Mt Vernon, and did STEM (Science Tech Engineering & Math) Teacher Training for an NYIT Grant in the Bronx.

​I’ve used all kinds of software, watched it evolve, and continuously updated my own skills through my work as a teacher, digital designer and admin for financial, legal and business clients. 

I stand ready and able to successfully integrate technology in the Town of Hurley to improve services for everyone. You can't "Keep Hurley Hurley" without good recordkeeping and updating services.  #Vote4Lynne
